Encapsulated Spring Vibration Isolator Mounts Overview
Thanks to being encapsulated, these spring based vibration isolator mounts significantly reduce the risk of debris or foreign objects interacting with the coil springs within. In some applications this is the primary reason for product failure.
With low suspension frequencies from large static deflections, these spring based anti vibration Isolator mounts allow the reduction of vibrations and the elimination of structure-borne noise from Fans, Motors, Generators, Pumps and HVAC systems. This Adjustable Height Spring can achieve very low natural frequencies, and therefore highly effective absorption levels.
The wide variety of models, obtained by combining springs of varying stiffness, allows different spring anti vibration mounts to be used for various loads. Ideally, loads should be uniform across the mounts, however this is not a 'must'. It is important to match static deflection though.
It is also worth noting that any encapsulated spring mount will have a low tolerance to lateral deflection. Coil Springs are generally not an advisable option for laterally loaded applications, but encapsulated coil spring mounts have an even lower tolerance to lateral deflections.
Features / benefits
- Wide range of load capacities in one size of mount - from 15 to 250 Kg
- Encapsulated mount reduces the risk of spring breakage due to foreign bodies inhibiting spring movement.
- Low suspension frequency
- Large static deflection with the given loads
- Operating Temperature range: -20°C - +80°C
- Adjustable height for uneven machine bases or a stepped floor (both interfaces must be flat and parallel)
- fitted with elastomeric components to eliminate medium/high frequency structure-borne noise
- For installation at the base of the machinery, with the springs compressed
- High resistance to environmental agents
- High resistance to oils, corrosion and high temperatures.
Technical Information
Commonly Used In:
- HVAC applications: Air conditioning units, compressors, fridges and fans.
- Pumps
- Generators
- Fans
Important Notes:
- Like all coil spring mounts, do not use in shear or tension
- Failure to install the correct mount may result in early life failure and poor product performance.

Lead Time:
With so many varieties of spring mount, these products are kept at component level and are assembled to order. Therefore, the lead time is typically up to 3 weeks, but that can double during holiday seasons (August and Christmas/NY).
