Understanding the 'G Pad with Load Plate - Heavy Duty Low Frequency Vibration Isolating Pad'.

The G-Pad series of anti-vibration mounts are heavy duty pads for supporting and isolating low frequency vibrating equipment or equipment which experiences shock loading.  This particular version comes with a load plate in case a point load needs to be applied by the supported equipment (e.g. a foot) which can be placed in the recessed centre of the plate.  Without the load plate the aluminium carcas of the product might bend or be damaged, which would impact product performance. 

The G-Pad series of anti-vibration mounts combines the convenience of rubber tiles and the reliability of a rubber/metal anti-vibration support through its aluminium interface, which has the dual function of protecting the elastomeric component and redistributing the concentrated load.

This particular version comes with a load plate in case a point load needs to be applied by the supported equipment (e.g. a foot) which can be placed in the recessed centre of the plate.  Without the load plate the aluminium carcas of the product might bend or be damaged, which would impact product performance. 

The G-Pad series anti-vibration mounts are used, for example, to isolate the vibrations generated by industrial machinery, presses and air-conditioning units when a mechanical fixing between the machine and the support surface is not necessary.

This version of the G-Pad is the standard product but comes with steel top plate.  This is useful in applications where loads may be concentrated into a small area resulting in potential wear or bending of the aluminium plate.  The steel plate has a curved recess which is designed to accept more concentrated loads (e.g. machine foot) which are then spread more evenly across the product by the steel plate.

Note: Look at the G-Pad Double product if increased isolation is required.  This "Double Height" version reduces the natural frequency of the suspension to about 4-5 Hz.
