A waisted rubber bobbin mount provides greater levels of deflection than a cylindrical bobbin, and therefore more effective vibration absorption. The larger the minor diameter, the easier the mounts are to engineer for consistency, hence why our smallest mounts are cylindrical (see Premium Cylindrical Bobbins)

These bobbins mounts use a Natural Rubber base compound along with plated mild steel metals. The plating is either standard zinc or sherardize.
