What are Silentfix Ceiling Hung Vibration Isolator Mounts?
SILENTFIX Ceiling Hung Vibration Isolator Mounts are vibration isolators which allow ceiling installation of pipes, ducts, heat exchangers (fans) and speakers, while avoiding the problem of transmission of generated vibrations to the structure of the building.
The SILENTFIX rubber hanger decouples false ceilings installed for sound insulation purposes, where rigid fixings between the suspended framework and the original ceiling have to be avoided.
Installation should be as per the images supplied.
The galvanised steel external structure keeps the support of the suspended loads independent of the resistance of the rubber element, thereby increasing the reliability of the installation.

Installation
Use threaded rods as per the image below. The maximum thread size for the Silentfix-4 product is M5, while the Silentfix-6 is M8. A washer must be used for the lower thread between the nut and the rubber body. This is to transfer load suitably through the rubber structure.
Lead Time
Typical lead times are 3 weeks, but this can double during summer and winter holiday seasons.
