Premium Hexagonal Bobbin Series - Male-Female Threads
This small cylindrical bobbin mount is made in-house and used in light industrial applications. If required, we can make bespoke versions of this product, please contact us for further information.
We do have a larger version of this bobbin (24mm across the flats), but are waiting to test them in their different forms.
The following information is for guidelines only, loading is in compression per mount. This mount type is predominantly used in shear or tension rather than in compression (these loads should be divided by 4 for shear).
The hexagonal head on the threaded studs used for this product is useful for holding the product in place while the thread is tightened.
These rubber bobbin mounts are generally used in applications where forcing vibrations are at least 23Hz, ideally at least 26Hz. This mount, in its female-female form can only be used in pure compression for very light loads. This mount is usually used in shear in this form.
Materials:
- Rubber: Our default version of this product uses a highly effective natural rubber material.
- Variants: EPDM, Nitrile or Neoprene.
- Metals: Our default product uses sherardize (zinc) plated mild steel
- Variants: Stainless steel can be quoted separately.
