Description
What are FRS Plate Mount Vibration Isolators?
FRS (incl FRS/MV) Plate Mount Vibration Isolators are plate or bulkhead mounts, that we refer to as "FRS Mounts". The FRS/MV mount is a near identical product but uses a different rubber profile to take higher loads.
The FRS (including FRS/MV) mount range will take loads of 4.0 - 55 daN axially.
Plate mounts are useful when a low-profile solution is required; the mounts use a comparable level of overall space to an equivalent pedestal mount, however a plate mount uses space above and below the surface on which it is mounted whereas a pedestal mount only uses space on one side of the mounting surface.
The FRS anti-vibration supports are designed to protect small-scale loads such as instruments on land vehicles and aircraft, and to isolate vibrations created by small rotating machines (motors, pumps and compressors) housed within structures with limited available space.
The key dimensions of the FRS and the FRS/MV mounts are almost identical; key dimensions are the same, the only difference being a thicker rubber profile on the MV variant, which enables them to take higher loads (see the load deflection graphs in the images).
The vibration isolation is achieved thanks to a membrane-type movement provided by a combination of good axial elasticity and radial stability
These mounts are often doubled up, either in series, or in parallel and they offer good isolation both radially and axially.
Anti Vibration Mounts - Made by AVMR in the UK. Contact us for custom options.
Features / benefits
- isolation for light equipment: loads from 4 daN - 55 daN
- very low overall height
- axial flexibility combined with high radial stability
- manufactured by AVMR so bespoke versions are easily managed.
- Custom Isoprene rubber blend for improved vibration and shock absorption (other options available)
- Mild steel (plated) metals by default, but Stainless Steel available as an option.
Dimensions and Loads
This information is provided for guidance purposes.
- Loads are in daN (Deca Newtons, 1 daN is approximately equivalent to 1 Kg at sea level)
- Dimensions are in mm
