What are Heavy Duty Plate Vibration Isolators?
Heavy duty plate vibration isolators are plate mounts, or bulkhead mounts, used to isolate equipment or structures from vibration. This version will take a static loads of 50 - 200 Kg axially, which makes it heavy duty. We have numerious options if lower load ratings are required.
Plate mounts are useful when a low-profile solution is required; the mounts use a comparable level of overall space to an equivalent pedestal mount, however a plate mount uses space above and below the surface on which it is mounted whereas a pedestal mount only uses space on one side of the mounting surface.
These mount anti-vibration supports are designed to protect loads such as instruments on land vehicles and aircraft, and to isolate vibrations created by small rotating machines (motors, pumps and compressors) housed within structures with limited available space.
The vibration isolation is achieved thanks to a membrane-type movement provided by a combination of good axial elasticity and radial stability
These mounts are often doubled up, either in series, or in parallel and they offer good isolation both radially and axially.
